I'm adopted. So I've been checking my results daily. I have 4 matches that are 1 step off on the 25, 37 and 67 markers. Two of those matches have surnames that I have other matches with with 1 step off in the 25 and 37.
So I clicked on TIPS from Y-DNA Matches and it shows my 1 step on all three...
3 results in 0.0081 seconds.

I had one of my Martin cousins do Y-DNA for us. He got very few matches, but most of them were Martins.
One of the matches, matched at the 12 marker at genetic distance 0 , at the 25 marker at a genetic distance of 2 and at the 37 marker at a genetic distance of 4.... -
How Good are Matches and Genetic Distance
I recently bought and received my results for a 37 marker test. At 25 markers the test was solidly one surname at 37 it was three surnames with multiple matches. The 25 marker exact matches are documented (they slip to GD of 4 at 37) with a surname closely associated with my own for at least 500 years....
