I have adjusted the tree to demonstrate that 3 testers are half siblings - 2 from one father and 1 from another. All same mother.
The match still shows the linked relationship of sister and brother rather than both showing half siblings.
I thought amending the tree to reflect...

How can I get family matching to work with half siblings?

I hope I understood the shared ethnic origins correctly
When it says when of your matches is say, 100 per cent European, that just reflects their percentages and doesn't reflect how much your genetics match their percentages, right? Sorry to ask something so ridiculous, I just have to be sure I understand things correctly!...

Issue with number of DNA matches
I am wondering if there is possibly an issue with my DNA kit (transfer from Ancestry) as I seem to have a very low amount of DNA matches. I recently noticed that my account only has 472 matches but I am sure I previously had much, much more than that! My mum's DNA has also been transferred under...

Found a branch from an NPE. Do I contact the descendants and let them know?
So, in researching my own family tree with DNA, I found some relatively close matches that nobody in our family had heard of. Looking through these matches trees (which doesn't overlap with my own) and also DNA shared in common, it is obvious that there was an "NPE" 2 generations back (~100...

Project membership reports - Family Finder
Is there a way for a project admin to extract a report showing all the members of the project who have taken a Family Finder test? I can only see options for y and mt. It looks as if I have to go in to each profile to look, which seems very time consuming.

Family Finder Matches
My cousin and I both did the Family Finder test. In attempting to use the results for genealogical research, can I assume that people we do not match in common are from my other side of the family not related to my cousin? Are the FF results that accurate?
Thanks for any help you can...

No MT-DNA Family Finder Matches
Why is it that I can find many close relatives while searching my MT-DNA and Y-DNA who are also listed on Family Finder, they don't show up when selecting those that match on Family Finder? I have MT-DNA relatives that show 0 steps, but Family Finder doesn't show them as related. The same is true of...

Adoptee story for TV Production
Family Tree DNA was contacted by a TV producer that would love to do an adoptee reunion made possible by DNA testing. The discovery would need to be fresh, i.e., separated siblings or an adoptee and birth parent who just found each other. A perfect situation might be one where they have talked but have...

Small chromosome segments
Using Family Finders chromosome browser, I changed the default segment to 1cM & downloaded all the segment data from my matches to a CSV file. There's is a limit of 5 matches, so I combined all into one file. I sorted the entire file by chrom#, beginning seg#, and end seg#. I have a total of 89...

Y-DNA search gets autosomal DNA matches... why?
I compared ged files from a person in my Y-DNA search matching 25. I found our common ancestor 8 generations back however the match was with my mothers ancestors. Why am I getting matched to people in my mothers line with y-DNA? I was not able to find the same person whom I matched using Family Finder...

Please change how the timeout works
I can understand why they want to time you out. But both the frequency of the warnings, the annoying nature of the popup which pulls me from whatever tab I'm in whether I'm typing in a box or clicking a menu on the other tab... and the way the system extends your time is rediculous and infuriating....

How many are in Family Finder compared to Relative Finder of 23andMe?
I wonder why we are not seeing the numbers for the size of the database for the 111-marker records or the Family Finder records....
