Very interesting breakdown. I'm sure mine would be similar.

I got Central and South Asian, as well, and I know I have no ancestry from even anywhere in the region, at all.

Two major problems for me:
1. The African breakdown, if you have what they consider Niger-Congo Genesis origins that part will be in a medium dark blue that gets darker when you over and you can NOT really see the other two lower African ancestries. Even if you hover you can't see it...

It comes up for me now. It was perpetually load, before. Lists "-" rather than a Haplogroup, however.Last edited by SallImSayin; 2 May 2014, 12:32 AM.

I've had half of my ancestral/haplogroup matches on one account disappear, and more than that on a second account. I can't tell if database matches are missing, I contact people haphazardly, not in a specific order. Now I wish I'd screen capped, especially those I spoke and exchanged info with, as much...Last edited by SallImSayin; 2 May 2014, 12:25 AM.

My brother and I (with the same parents)share:
23andme: 2706 cM 50 segments
Gedmatch:
Largest segment = 219.4 cM
Total of segments > 7 cM = 2,653.7 cM
Estimated number of generations to MRCA = 1.2
It's too bad there's nothing like Family Inheritance:...Last edited by SallImSayin; 30 April 2014, 01:12 PM.

We're L3e2b2. I'm not sure, on any site, whether I'm related to any L3e2*'s. Plenty of L3e2b's, though.

After doing research over last few years, especially on Bantu people, it's clear that the source is the same for certain groups (specifically Igbo and certain Akan people, especially). Despite speaking languages from different language families you can see the resemblance in looks, height, and some...

Looking forward to this happening. Only a minimum of 3 African subgroups? Well, that's disappointing.

Same thing for me. I'm 10% European (mostly English and Irish) and 2-3% Native American, they found neither but said I was 13% ME:Jewish and Adygei. They don't always pick the closest populations.

I wonder if there will be a deal if you already tested at the HVR1 level and want to upgrade to HVR2? It appeals you can only go from HVR1 to Mega. I'd order and upgrade for my friend.
Some of the people I matched with at the HVR1 level and/or HVR2 (both) showed up on my 23andMe cousin...Last edited by SallImSayin; 18 May 2013, 07:48 PM.

One or two of my brother's Y matches are suddenly missing. I lost my only high resolution MTDNA match a couple of months ago. I emailed them about my very wrong FF results a few days ago, so I'm hoping to hear back.

I have a few tests uploaded there (using what I got from FTDNA), so they used to allow you to do this. I can't remember whether it was them or Genetree that made you send the certificate that FTDNA gives you, that you can download? To authenticate your results, for quality control.
