This will be sort of an odd question.
I have a friend in Uruguay who recently ordered her Family Finder test. The problem is shipping it back as DHL wanted $145 and a doctor's note the last time I tried to ship a kit back. I ended up bringing it with me on a trip to Canada.

If all you are looking at is the chromosome browser, you should also look at the In Common With filter.
1. Assign "Charles" as a "Distant Cousin". Then you can see which of the people on Chr. 8 he also has as matches. Ignore anyone he does not have as a match....

That stuff drives me crazy. I can't tell you how many times I've had a problem with something, followed the instructions step by step and wrote to customer service when I didn't get the right results. I would SPECIFICALLY TELL THEM each step I did - to no avail.
I hear ya!...

In addition to straight out asking FTDNA, there are some other ways to determine what might be going on.
1. Ask "B" to upload his/her raw data to GEDmatch.com and you do the same with your raw data and your father's raw data. You can then compare them one-on-one with the threshold...

I completely agree. I recently convinced a power genealogist 4th cousin to test just for that reason. She hasn't even gotten her results yet and she is looking for other relatives to test. Bless her, she has the money to do it! I think I've created a monster. And she's 100% Ashkenazi.

We've been waiting for my husband's FF results since APRIL. He's in Batch 461 and it took 2 1/2 to get his Y-37. His PF posted last Monday and we've been waiting (along with everyone else it seems) for matches.

Lots of matches with little pieces. I'm 1/2 US Colonial and 1/2 Ashkenazi.
I have over 700 matches and my maternal half-brother (100% Ashkenazi) has over 1,100 matches.
When you look at In Common With an Ashkenazi match, you will see HUNDREDS of matches in common. With...

My husband's Y panels have come in but we're still waiting on Family Finder. At least they've confirmed they got the two vials we sent a couple of weeks ago.

Also - it does NOT tell you how close those matches are to each other. I recently did this with one of my matches. It turns out that one of the matches we share is his father. They didn't have the same surname or the same email address. There was no way I would have known this unless he told me...

Please understand that they may be assigning dozens of these "Distant Cousin" relationships in order to sort out their matches. If they don't see anything to get excited about (especially if you are a 5th to remote match), you may be on the bottom of a long list. And - as has been pointed...
