Looking at these results, posted this way, the FTDNA alogorithm seems to be pretty much on coarse as to my FF matches, at least those I have identified.

I agree. Do not understand the animosity seen here, sometimes. But also think that animosity is not necessarily intended and am glad that Darren has not shut down the thread, just reminded people to be nice to one another.

We are just beginning this exploration of how the autosomal results line up with "confirmed" paper trails. The lining up with any known paper trails, being based upon where in their respective trees, people who match as cousins to whatever degree, at FTDNA or 23 and Me, can pinpoint any relationship....

Since both of these matches from 23 and Me are not matching me here at FTDNA, am wondering if FTDNA is factoring in their alogorithm, that e.g. chromosome 22 is less susceptible to recombination (being a shorter chromosome). Looks like 23 and Me might be factoring that in, with their alogorithm.

One of my matches at 23 and Me who has also tested at FTDNA is not matching me at FTDNA. At 23 and Me we are 0.13% and match is 5 Mb on chromosome 22, but opposed to my other match at 23 and Me who is not matching here, towards the tail end of chromosome 22.

Had that happen the other day and reported it. May have fixed itself or have been due to reporting it. Think people who have problems should report so FTDNA can assure a fix.
