Thank you.
I now remember the business of the 2 **.
As you say, most likely a glitch,

Last match received
I just noted under matches that a match was found for me "Not in your project" - who cares, I'm desperate! last Friday 20th.
I got no e-mail of this nor any indication in my list of matches which one it might be.
It is probably buried in my 12 markers but they still have the...

I was surprised by the fact that I had 23 exact matches @12 whereas the other chap had just one.
It would appear that this was due to me signing up to a few relevant projects whereas I didn't have permission to do likewise for the other person.
I reckon I had done well enough to get the...

Interpretation of results
I have established a connection with a person of the same surname and origin, no great surprise, both of us 37 marker GD-2 (one only); 67 marker GD-4 (one only);
I appear as one of 5 on his 25 marker GD-2 and he appears as one of 3 on my test at that level.
What I find surprising is that...

At that level they recently had a fairly hard sell for further subclades of R-L48..
I'm surprised you missed it
I use the shortcut now.
I was R-L48+, which seemed to set me up for Germanic tribes that invaded Britain.
I am now R-L47+ and I haven't been able to make much of...

Thank you.
I have to admit that i have found that group a little too "cerebral" for my little grey cells, but I'll give it another go!

R-l47
Up until recently the shortcut to my Haplogroup was R-L48 and that appeared to have plenty of documentation, probably contentious, re possible ethnic origin etc.,
I have been unable to unearth any such information for my new shortcut R-L47, a subclade of L48.
The search of this forum came...

Subclades.
Thanks , Tim.
That pretty well covers everything!
That bit about the "*" is very interesting as well, I've often wondered what it meant, I don't feel up to spelling it at the minute!

Deep Clade Question 2
Prior to the recent change in nomenclature I had been determined as R-L48.
I was offered at that stage, further subgroup tests.
I have tested negative for L44, L46, L148 and L188.
The only test left would appear to be for L47.
Oddly enough, the estimated time for completion...

I see you are an R-L48 of Irish origin.
So am I. Still here! At the minute, I am awaiting subgroups of this supposed marker for Friesians.,
Not the most patriotic of Haplogroups from an Irish point of view.
In my case probably descended from a post Williamite (1690 etc.,) soldier,...

111 Markers
I am more than a little taken aback by what seems to me to be a Lemming-like rush to get to the 111 marker level.
From my admittedly limited reading it does not seem to offer much more than what the 67 marker did for those on 37.
My experience of getting a 67...
