I do not have a single match or close match for my Y-DNA at any marker level. I am J2-M319 (J2a4d) with the CMH 8/12 marker. My user ID is VE8TQ and the closest match from Y-search is User ID 9E9FT (Italy) with a genetic distance of 33 out of 68 markers. Others with similar haplogroup have been found...Last edited by c_thompson_68; 23 December 2011, 08:47 AM.

Hi Stephen,
I am also near Columbus Ohio, and have a similar problem. I am an adoptee, and my birth-father is from Mexico whom I suspect could have some Anousim Sephardic Jewish ancestry. It has been confirmed that he has Native American Indian ancestry (probably from Mexico).

It seems that many people in Puerto Rico have NA ancestry from the mother's mtDNA (http://www.centrelink.org/KearnsDNA.html) as this article indicates. I think in the Spanish colonies, it was safer to not be a Native American from the Limpieza de sangre concept if you wanted to own property (http:/...Last edited by c_thompson_68; 28 March 2011, 09:29 AM.

Actually, only my birth-father is Mexican as my birth-mother is a U.S. citizen of European descent. It was not until a few years ago that I was able to verify my birth-father is Mexican because my birth records are sealed by the state in which I was born. After I got my non-ID information from the children’s...Last edited by c_thompson_68; 26 March 2011, 07:56 PM.

For those of you who are expecting to find Native American Indian (NA) ancestry from Population Finder (PF), which FTDNA chipset are your results from? Is it the Affymetrix chipset or the Illumina chipset?
From the Affy Chipset, I am estimated to be 19.20% Native American (Central American)...Last edited by c_thompson_68; 26 March 2011, 07:00 AM.

I had previously taken the DNAPrint Genomics AncestryByDNA 2.5, and contacted DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC) about their AncestrybyDNA test. I wanted more information on the differences between the tests, such as number of BGA (biographical ancestry markers).
Here is the response I received:...Last edited by c_thompson_68; 14 December 2009, 02:01 PM.

Any updates on mtHaplogroup T3? I am an adoptee with no matches or ancestral origins listed from the ftDNA database. I believe my birth-mother's surname is of French Norman origin.
What is the geographic location T3, is it Scandinavian, or Celtic? I have heard there are T3's in Iceland,...

I have read that J-M319 is believed to be of Minoan (Crete), Anatolia or Syro-Palestinian origin (http://m172.blogspot.com/2008/10/dif...-subclade.html). Some claim the Philistines came from Crete due to translating Caphtor from the Bible as Crete or Cyprus.
I am J-M319,...

Hello,
I suspect that mtDNA Haplogroup T3 is either Norse (Norwegian)/ Norman or Celtic. As the Vikings often intermarried with Celtic natives, it could be either one in origin. From their areas of colonization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Normannen.png), they could have brought...
