New Ancestry ethnicity results
I for one am really pleased with the new results. Previous version had me at 86% N. European and 14% Finn/Volga.
I knew there had to be something not quite right as not only my paper trail shows at least 50% Swedish and Norwegian; 50% of my matches...

Yes, I tried using her name and date of birth and came up empty handed. LOTS of Ellen Kellys in Ireland ! If I could just narrow it down to a couple of general areas it would be easier. Not even sure she was ever in Ireland. She claimed she was born in New York City to parents from Ireland Free State....

But that is called marketing. One ALWAYS has to take these types of claims with the proverbial " grain of salt"; I do however remember reading about a study by Brian Sykes about Irish clans DNA. (Y DNA I suppose)...

Using FF and MtDna to find maternal relatives
Just want to see if my logic is correct. If I have a match on FF who has taken HVR1 or HVR2 and matches me on one of those MtDna tests, does that mean that that person is with out a doubt a relative from my mother's maternal side? Likewise, if I match someone on HVR1 and/or HVR2, but not on FF, then...
