Agreed. It’s really missed the mark. My previous estimations from 2.0 weren’t too bad, but now they make absolutely no sense....

Eh, the FTDNA lab most certainly has to take precautions with the current global situation. Remember that estimated completion dates aren't set in stone, they can be completed earlier or later (unfortunately)....

While I can't comment on the earlier QC issues with your cousin's sample in December, but considering the precautions these labs would be taking during the current situation and perhaps a lower number of staff it would only seem logical for things to take a little longer....

Have the same-surname matches tested beyond 25 markers?
NPE's can be tricky business, but considering that you have determined that a particular match appeared as a neighbour the odds for there being something to it are probably pretty good. Genetic distance can't necessarily indicate much,...

I would keep in mind that the time you ordered Big Y700 it had just replaced Big Y500 and Big Y700 brought changes that weren't previously seen with Y500, not to mention that they were then upgrading late Y500 orders to Y700, which means there is a backlog. How charming. Nice.
Hmm, I can think of many that I know of, some who were pursuing a...

You perceive that he insulted you, so you demand an apology all while insulting him is my point. A 3rd explanation for what? Something that Mr. Barrett has addressed already in previous posts?...

Yeah, that's the case for many, if not for most people, and it is remedied by more people testing to advance the field. More people testing means those novel variants eventually get a place on the Haplotree, that is how the tree grows.
For some it is a process of elimination,...

A snotty response it may be to you, but honestly this is the internet and I wouldn't get too riled up about someone bolding/highlighting something in their post, whether it was intended to be "snotty" or not.
Again, you insult his person, note your jab at him about his English...
