Thanks for your input!
I was just wondering if there was any admixture between my type of U5a1a (mtDNA) and the haplogroup N3 (Y-DNA)... It could have come with R1a1, but what about I1a?
Hey everyone!
Does my haplogroup originate in Scandinavia? How would it have gotten to Germany? And, if it's Scandinavian, would it have mixed many times with the Y-DNA haplogroup N3?
What is the evidence of Colonial "American" (not Canadian) and Native Amerindian admixture? I read a studying that 1/3 of all white americans today are about from 2-20% Native American or Sub-saharan African. Link
Anthropological Taxonomy isn't always good in determining origins.... It may be in general, but only 20% of that time is attributes to DNA findings....
I mean countries like; Finland, North Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Poland, Russia, Belarus, etc.
This is where Finno-Ugric admixture occurs often. I remember seeing a map of the distribution of the Finno-Ugric markers. the North-east was most predominant, meanwhile reaching...
Would you say that anthropological taxonomy is more accurate than DNA testing? I mean every Northern European has Finno-Ugrian, it has been all over Northern Europe for about 5 000 years. I wouldn't expect anything else..
Thank you to all who posted! The reason I posted the photos is because I was wondering if it was worth it to test her... She's not actually Finnish, but I think there must be some sort of Finno-Ugric admixture, if Native American DNA doesn't show up. She is my dad's sister, is it still possible for...
I was wondering if some of you could post pictures of yourselves with your ABDNA results. I'll start with mine. This has been a question bugging me. By the way, I had the results that I was 100% European, but other than that, I am close to Sub-Saharan African. I was also wondering if you could tell...
This is not true, the distribution of R1b is so concentrated in Western and Central Europe that it is Native. R1a is amongst the first speakers of PIE because it is distributed the most amongst the Slavs and Central Asians more recently. Slavs and Indo-Iranians, etc. are the languages that are the closest...
How about the idea that genetic inheritance can skip generations? Then again my father and his sister both have epicanthal eye folds (asiatic features) and I got 100% European doesn't make sense. At the same time I was classified anthropologically with a slight Finnic (West-Sibirid) admixture.....
This is correct, I know a knight in Poland that was famous was Zawisza Czarny (Zawisza the Black). He was considered black because of his hair colour and his eyes. The modern term for a black person in Poland is Czarnuch, so it's very similar, but ideas change. For some reason, I still don't understand...
The Saami have always said they're native to Europe, and I believe this is relatively true. They spoke a different language than that of the Finno-Ugric category. The N3 haplogroup is native to North Siberia, and is not European in origin in anyway. U is a Franco-Cantiberian marker, very much similar...
Hello R1b1c_Indiana,
I am wondering the same thing since I too have DYS19=15. Although people speculate that I am S21+ or R1b1c9* F3.. Most DYS19 values of 15 I've seen belong to ht35 (Eastern R1b). Again, I am looking for the same thing you are. ...
