They report values but do not explain their significance. Nor do they upload those values to YSEARCH. Separately some of us obtained "reads" privately before deciding whether to upload our results to GeneBank. I am not knowledgeable enough to confirm...

Gd
The GD on this may be out of whack although the conclusion is not. When we first compared the GD was 2 out of 25 markers. All the GD appears on the last panel on a project transcription rather than a y search upload. The 25 markers are the same as another member of...

DNA match confirms Family History
I am U198. Within the past 3 months I found another of the same surname who was 13 gd on 37 markers but had not yet taken the deep clade. That person took his deep clade. Make that three votes
It would be a nice feature.
It would also be nice if more people knew and understood there is a significant value in taking the SNP tests.

wondering too
I suspect it is akin to the downside of some of my more favorite TV channels like History and discovery ... only so many reruns and repackages of the same thing. This whole business requires a great deal of patience and the correct answer, that there are...

Yes there is a method
No, you cannot find matches by name. It is deliberately designed to foil that. However, yes, you can find that you have matches in genealogical time frame. Rucksack has a prior post on how. Using this method I have established that 6 individuals...

FGS numbers
I found it interesting that GenBank shows 6 FGS matches for me within genealogical time frame while FT DNA shows 1. I am aware of a privately held match that may or may not be on GenBank. I know this is set up in a way to maintain privacy and am not looking to disturb that....
