Same problem 14 Oct @ 5:25 eastern
-
Just a follow-up. Unlike Jim Barrett's solution, according to ftDNA it is not possible to turn off mtDNA "coding region" notifications.
The "only" option they offered was turning off sending all email from ftDNA (including y matches and all other correspondence from ftDNA)...Last edited by rod; 27 February 2018, 07:31 PM.

Is there another place to turn "coding region" matches off?

I have high quality results from another company and the SNPs were named from my test. ftDNA says they're low quality or doesn't list them at all. I think the problem is ftDNA quality control and "not so bigY" coverage.

Turn off mtDNA full sequence match notifications.
I have a family member who is plain "H" and has received 373 "We found 1 new mtFull Sequence match(es)" emails since he tested. None of them are an exact match full match but ftDNA sends notifications on 1-3 difference matches.
WHY WON'T FTDNA LET US TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS...

When I run "in common" with my third cousin on my mother's or 1st cousin's, my brother and I appear.

All Family Finder Matches gone - March 5
I manage 8 accounts with family finder tests.
Today, all of them have ZERO family finder matches.

Will people who had requested the files before the shutdown receive them without a new request or have to start over again?

The y-12 through y-111 tests should be. The big-y test has enough errors that it's likely you wouldn't be 100% identical to yourself....
