H-13 and Acadia French

I am the only French one on there as far as I know. French H13.
Now I just wish there was more folks with French family backgrounds tested....

My H13 if we go direct maternal line is from France. Haven't looked lately but at the time I was the only one....

Yes, it is possible. They are a Chimera.... ie. my mother follows her father's line and not her mother's like it should be.

Even the scientists are learning new things all the time. DNA is not absolute at this point in time.

That is interesting, H13 is also in Norway. Hummm.....

The most close match so far for H1&H2 for me are from Italy and...

Can it refine the mtDNA enough to show what country my H-13 comes from?
If it can,, would be worth it.

humm.... one of the places I got the test from said my mom "might" be a Chimera...following her father's line. He is Italian.
Is rare but happens.

Or there have not been a whole lot of folks with an Acadian French back ground doing the mt DNA? So there is not enough info...

I was like you. Not much info with the original test.

The Refine Test does work and is worth it. Did give me more info... and put me in the H-13 group.

However, I wish there was an even more refined test. Because my mother's line is Acadia French and I have yet to find...

How many others are in H-13 group and have an Acadian French family line?
Am really curious because I do not see much about the French lines.

I can tell you both the Acadia(area now called Nova Scotia) French (mom's side of the family) and many Appalachian mountain people(dad's side) are a mix of White/Euro and Native American and have been since the Euro side started coming in, between 1599 and 1640's. There are a lot of us out there.

But what if both sides of your family are mixed? I mean really mixed Euro and Native American and First peoples Nation from Canada from 1599 to present.
Every generation is mixed in my family.
