I guess your Big Y matches have haplogroup R-BY57177? I believe they are related to you possibly 1000 years ago. I think you just have to wait.

You got 0.07% probability. Almost 40 fitness, which is a different thing.Unfortunately it seems that your paternal line is undertested. It isn't possible predict your haplogroup very well, because there are no kits with Big Y nearby. I recommend that you get Big Y. Someone has to be the first o...

Did you choose "Subclades of J" from the Nevgen's menu? However, if everyone is 40 markers away from you, it means that everyone is very distant and it may be hard to find out your subclade from markers. In my case Nevgen guessed right my 4000 year old subclade with 5% confidence. With Big...

Markers 26-37 contain several very fast mutating markers, which can move quite close kits outside the match range. It is a pity that so many people buy Y-37 test first. You're right that it is not a good start.

I have two options:
1) Meet my earliest known paternal ancestor. He died in 1748 and nothing is known about his ancestry. I would like to talk to him. My Big Y haplogroup is 3000 years old.
2) My mother is from a village where church books older than 1784 burned in a fire 1938. The earliest...
