First, all of these companies change their results every 2 or three years, as their hardware, software and database improves.
Second, none of these tests results will match 100%, but they should get more consistent with time.

I just uploaded my parent's data... slightly disappointing, too much scandinavian. Basically no better or worse than FTDNA, DNAland or My Heritage. Still not bad at all for a new company.
I should point out that I also tested with Ancestry, which is easily the worst of the bunch at predicting...

Has anyone uploaded to Gencove?
I didn't know it existed until a couple of days ago... I uploaded my Ancestry results (it doesn't currently accept FTDNA) and was surprised to see how accurate it was. True, it could be more specific (british isles and west europe are lumped together). I'd say that it has the most accurate ethnicity...

Odd, because there doesn't seem to be a problem shipping FTDNA or My Heritage kits to Germany. I have german distant cousin matches from both of those countries....

And when you get your results, be sure to upload your data to My Heritage (no cost). They now have more people in their database than FTDNA, and they let you sort your matches by country. They also seem to have at least as many europeans in their database as FTDNA.

I believe that I once read that 70% of FTDNA's users are from the USA. I know there are a lot of british, irish, scandinavian and finnish people in the database. And there are very few germans.

My FTDNA and My Heritage results are fairly similar to each other (my Ancestry results are the problem). My Heritage has a update to their ethnicity calculator due for later this year.

Yeah, but he seems to think that My Heritage kits also go into the FTDNA database. They do not....
