How can I upload a GedCom?

I have tried uploading a GEDCOM to the myFamilyTree feature but it doesn't want to play ball. It all seems to start well and then gets to a point when I have a whirring symbol accompanied by the words this may take a few minutes but it never finishes, not matter how long I leave it for. Is Gedmatch still not accepting FTDNA kits?

If this problem had gone away, which kit should I be loading to Gedmatch? If I click on the 'Download Raw Data' icon, I am faced with six choices relating to autosomal, chromosone and concatenated for both build 36 and Build 37. I have no idea...
