Am I Positive for M343 ?

Hi Guys :

Would be requesting you for your expertise. My Y haplo group have been recently classified as R-Z2976 and to be in this haplo, one has to be positive in the upstream SNP M343.
My Tree on FTDNA shows that I am presumed positive for it.

Hi Folks,

Couple of months back I transferred by results to FTDNA site and they have two YSNP files to download. One looks like below (see screenshot): As you can see that column see show abbreviations like AA, CC , GG , TT.

Once you do a transfer to FTDNA you get three CSV files. One for Y-DNA with all of the 13, 600+ SNPs tested and their alleles, an mtDNA CSV file with some of the SNPs tested, and a Y-DNA CSV file with just the positive SNPs. The two Y-DNA SNP files confuse people because...

I have open a ticket with both Nat Geo and FMTDNA. As you can see that Nat Geo gave me J-CTS2906



and if you notice the J under the FTDNA screen shot posted below....I am tested negative for the basal J's but downstream I am testes positive. How is this possible if a person...

I have a total of 8 green SNPS are under J haplogroup too ! and about 4 greens under the H....Point to be noted is that J and H are two different streams of haplogroup. How can one have green snps for both at the same time?

Thank you for your reply . I am a novice in the field of geneology and when I looked up in the Y haplogroup Tree , I see thatF-M89 fall into its direct descendant Haplogroup GHIJK meaning that an FM-89 can be G , H , I J or K. So my question is ok...I am FM-89 upstream but what is my Last or Terminal...
