I quote: "Worry not, please! FTDNA is a most reliable company but sometimes things happen which can cause delays. Your test results will come through although maybe not on the original time schedule. Hang in there. You are not the first person to have encountered a scheduling difficulty."...

Above all I try to be honest and not to hide my feelings. Suspicion was replaced by appreciation after this good experience. I hope FTDNA will keep up the good work and complains will disappear as improvements are on the way: http://forums.familytreedna.com/show...23&postcount=1...

Downloading the raws is now also possible and I already uploaded them to Gedmatch and Promethease.
Again, thank you FTDNA for this unexpectedly fast service - you have won a big fan in me by doing so!...

Yes, only 16 days after batching is quite impressive. Kudos!
I am glad!...

And here is the reality I am facing: The results came in on Friday, the 26th. I have access to my origins and found a 2nd to 4th grade cousin and a few 3rd to 5th grade cousins.
Downloading the raw data still doesn't work but I read that this is the normal thing and takes a while.
Well...Last edited by PeBe; 26 June 2015, 10:48 PM.

Um, this is a way she (and I) did not thought about. So there is no way to avoid her finding it out.
But wait a moment, even if she does not swab the child but herself she still needs some DNA either from the mother or the child to compare to her own DNA, right?

It would for sure give her the peace of mind she is looking for. But my fear is that she will tell her brother, too... she does not like his wife....Last edited by PeBe; 22 June 2015, 07:59 AM.

Aunt wants to now is she is aunt
I have a friend who lives with his wife, his son and his sister in the same home. A few days ago I had a discussion with his sister. She told me that she doubts her brother is indeed the father of his child but that her brother refuses to do a paternity test, calling him naive.

I had never heard of Lucy and Ethel but after watching them on Youtube I dont't know if I shall laugh or cry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmAwcMNxGqM
I also don't know who is more to pity, the workers (Darren) or the customers?
But one is for sure, the management seems to have no clue...Last edited by PeBe; 22 June 2015, 12:48 AM.

I agree, to me this seems to be a strange business policy considering FTDNAs backlog. I am sure the best advertisement for FTDNA would be to shorten the delivery times instead of announcing further sales actions.
I gladly would pay double the price if that would halve the waiting time....

Thank you for providing your sight of the reality you (and others) are facing....

Exactly that is the difference I wanted to point out. I think you did everything right as you had no hidden agenda whatsoever, that's the point....

No. It was the first time. The other time I only used a quote without any name.
BTW: I never used the real name....

Don't let other people make you feel guilty, please. When I compare your doing with this one http://forums.familytreedna.com/show...3&postcount=11 so I have to say you are innocent as innocent can be....
