Do you have any 67 marker matches, and if so do they have the Y-DNA111 listed next to their name? SNP testing of some sort would probably be useful at some point for filtering out irrelevant matches....

Have you/they done any Family Finder testing? If not, I would do that, at least for the GD=2 at 111 match. If they don't show up as Family Finder matches then that will suggest the common ancestor is on the more distant end of the range.

It all depends on the SNP pack as well as your own particular results. Most are back much sooner than 5 months now though. M343 Backbone SNP Packs are sometimes finished even in about a week....

PF810 is located in an STR and is probably not useful for phylogenetic haplotree purposes, that is why you don't see it. It is a "known" SNP, but not necessarily a useful one.

It depends on the particular project administrator and the criteria for membership they use; for the projects I administer I would be fine with you being in the project. You can email the administrator of the project and see what they say.

They're currently re-running haplogroup predictions for kits without SNP testing so that may be why you're seeing that error; also if you have zero matches at every level there is a chance a backbone SNP test may need to be done to determine your haplogroup....

I guess there are some areas where C and B overlap slightly as well. I think I would stick with him being B though until further SNP testing proved otherwise. I find understudied haplogroups like B very interesting.
