Same here. My BAM file is exactly the same size as the original I received in 2015. Wondering if anyone knows anything regarding the status of such files with regard to hg38?...

My gratitude sir. I do have the hg38 VCF file and will patiently for the updated BAM file.
All the best.

Hg38
It is my understanding that there is a switch taking place from hg19 to hg38. How do I ascertain if my file is hg38?
I had Big Y done in 2015.
Apologies if this has already been asked. I did a search with no results that I can find.

We'll see if they reply to me. Did you send a notice of the problem to them? If not, please do.

You have to outsmart the devils. Pay through paypal. It will demand you pay annually. Do it. Then go to your paypal account and remove their ability to automatically renew. On your Paypal page find "Purchases". Under purchases look up "Preapproved". Find their account and "Cancel"...

Well FTDNA has established a new terminal SNP for me. I-A7358 There are three known individuals with this particular mutation. Pretty awesome. Here's the update:

Yes, I have gotten the YFull analysis done on my BigY data. It's very informative and does include private SNPs and new developments on the tree with my news channel at the site.
Useless SNPs on an electronic certification is somewhat bogus I think. I wouldn't expect them to print all...

ftDNA Certificates
My initial SNP certificate is completely different than the one I have currently. My first cert is dated May 10, 2015. The most recent one is dated Dec 20, 2015. SNPs are named differently than my first cert. Is this because of BigY? Most of the current SNPs have a PF prefix to them and the original...

SNP Certificate changes
On a whim I redownloaded my SNP certificate and found interesting changes that reflect what appears to be a new naming system.

Nope, you didn't. I found this short http://haplogrep.uibk.ac.at/blog/rcrs-vs-rsrs-vs-hg19/ explanation very helpful. I see that they attach an N on positions that need a place holder just to keep things relatively sane. Thanks for the feedback....
