Your'e welcome. And I'm glad I came back to the threads yesterday to see your post, realizing we have similarities with our H1 line.
I have only taken the partial HVR2 mtDNA test, but my mother upgraded to to the full sequencing test. Here's the kicker... we only had 1 match with another...

My mtDNA is pure H1 (no other numbers, letters, etc.) and my mother and I discovered we have vast amounts of Moroccan Jewish, followed by Libyan, Tunisian, and Algerian Jewish.
My thread about this discovery is here:

Here are some updated data results from the current DNA Tribes SNP Analysis report. For this report, I submitted my FTDNA raw data file, whereas for the 2014 report, I used my 23andMe raw data.

This reason I ask is that I forgot to mention I had gotten the their SNP Analysis back in June 2014 using my 23andMe raw data file. The results came back–mirroring my paper trail on both sides. It even pinpointed the exact regions of my Northern and Southern Italian and my Scandinavian/Viking L813...

Josh,
Thanks. I took a good look of the spreedsheet this past week. It helps put things in better perspective.
Also, I was wondering... how accurate is the DNA Tribes SNP Analysis using the FTDNA raw data file? Not the STR test, but the analysis for SNPs?

Also, do you think my Jewish ancestry is harder to detect since I'm so admixed? My chromosome view is lit up like a Christmas tree!
Also, I just don't understand why 23andMe can't put more effort into determining Sephardic ancestry? I think it was the episode of 'Finding Your Roots&q...

Thanks, Josh.
I will check out the spreedsheet. Also, whatever became of the MO update that was supposed to included Sephardic results a few years back? I know some of the samples collected were in question, but what is the current status of it?...

Josh,
Thank you for your insight and knowledge. I’m so glad it was you that responded as I have been following your posts and replies this last year as I was doing the research on my maternal line.
Also, I have a question for you. On the 23andMe forums in the past, someone...

Is The Jewish In My Maternal Line Really Legit?
My parents and I are extremely admixed. For my mom and I, our mtDNA is H1 alone with no other numbers attached. I know my maternal grandmother’s paternal side was Northern Italian and her maternal side was Sicilian, both documented on the paper trail. 23andMe stated my mother’s top ethnicity...Last edited by BravoNovember; 21 August 2016, 10:21 PM.

Trying to upload and register on mitosearch.org and it comes up with pages full of web errors. FTDNA needs to get with the times and get better web designers. Their sites are not 'user friendly' and are horribly dated in form and function.
