I've only checked one kit so far, but, today, the little red notification circle (top of page near username and kit number) gave me 6 messages from the last 5 days. Each said "you have new y-dna matches" and gave me a number of matches. The total number of matches amounted to 51.

Tried 4 or 5 times using Chrome on a Windows 7.0 machine. That's a big "No Go", Houston. Submitted a bug report. Got an ID, but no response. But since it was only about 5 minutes ago, I don't expect one yet.

I've been receiving emails almost daily saying there are new yDNA matches. Also have notifications at the top of the kit home page (the little red circle) that say there are new ones, too. BUT... sorting by date doesn't show them in my case. This is across the board in 4 different kits.

I know for a fact they were both in the same surname project at the time this anomaly occurred, because they were both in the project's DNA result chart. And they were also in at least 2 others.

First: I know that matches at 12 markers aren't particularly useful for most of us. But this is a mystery I'd like to solve. (Mostly 'cuz it's buggin' me.)
Second: we've verified that both kits' privacy settings are all set to "Yes".

I get the impression that some surname projects are open to women with mtDNA results. How does that work? Does she join a project for her maiden name or her mother's maiden name?
