Yes, I was satisfied with prairielad's answer.
Yeah, here they are:
A: Me
B: 70587634 to 78769541 for a total of 1.5 cM.
C: 70587634 to 78395137 for a total of 1.48 cM.
D: 71991396 to 80020571 for a total of 1.01 cM.
B & C also overlap...

Your simplified example doesn't take in account that there are four of us, plus we're talking about the X chromosome, I only have one of those. Perhaps I'm being ignorant, but I'd say at least two of "the others" and I descend from a common ancestor....

Yeah, but in my case we're taking about shared segments of DNA, not just any match....

Oh OK, I didn't know the X chromosome was excluded in the matching algorithm, that of course explains it!
Thanks a lot.

Oh okay, I get it. Big Y seems a bit too expensive at the moment. I chose to just order a CTS4179 test, Michal is convinced this will be a positive test and it would be more interesting to order a YP386 test, however this SNP is still not available for testing at FTDNA.

On the project page, on the "Y-DNA Colorized Chart", I've been included in a group with 13 others and in the title for this group it says (Big Y under lab procedure).
As far as I know, this is not certain. I surely haven't paid for it, and checking my Order history, there's...

Ok great! I've contacted Anne, who seem to be administrating us Scandinavians if I understood it correctly. I can send you a copy if you wish!...

Thanks lgmayka,
True, at the Y-DNA Haplotree page, M198 appears also at the G part, and it's also green in my case.
Should I order any additional SNPs to get it sorted out? Who should I contact in order to get recommendation on additional SNP tests?
Than...

I got the Y-HAP-Backbone test completed on 7/22/2014, batch 571.
However, if I hit "Haplotree & SNPs" I still have a predicted Haplogroup, it says "Your Predicted Haplogroup is R-M512". On the bottom part of that page, it says: "Tests Taken M198+"...

Strange matching with three persons
Three of my matches on my X-chromosome overlap on positions 71991396 - 78395137. I'm a male, so I only have one X-chromosome and I got it from my mother. They are all female so they got two X-chromosomes. This means that at least two of these matches share this part of the X-chromosome on the same chromosome...

No matches & Backbone
15 days ago (may 13), I finally got my Y-DNA67 results from batch 560: No matches, and Y-DNA Haplogroup Pending.
7 days ago (may 21), Y-HAP-Backbone is automatically ordered on batch 571. I believe this is some kind of FTDNA courtesy in order to refine my test result? Will the Backbone...

The admin in my mtDNA haplogroup project informed me that there are two "close" matches at GenBank, we probably shared a common ancestor 2-3000 years back.. ;-)
Now that mtDNA haven't helped at all in my genealogy, it would feel good to at least help science if possible. Is...

Understanding mtDNA result with no matches
I've read other threads where people say they have few or no matches on mtDNA - fine, but what does it really mean?
I did a mtDNA full sequence and have zero matches on all three levels. Does it mean that nobody on the same maternal linage as me over the last thousand years or so did...

I believe it suggests that your parents, rather than your mother's parents, have a common ancestor. And that you inherited DNA from this common ancestor from both your mother and your father. As a result, you share more DNA with this person than your mother....
