Well when you put it that way that actually makes a lot more sense. I never meant to divide anything, I just spoke with assumptions which was wrong. I just thought that with a Polish ancestor, some Eastern European would be in there somewhere and wondered why it never showed on MyOrigins....

My East European was thrown under Western and Central Europe. My ancestry is mostly English with 1 great grandparent who was Catholic polish from Warsaw. 7/8ths English, 1/8th Polish.

My results,

My MTDNA is W1g. Which although a scarce lineage and interesting, the lack information is saddening. My Maternal line goes back to Shropshire, England as far as the 1700's. I haven't gone further back yet.

I'd love to know more about W1g in the British Isles.

Also, if you manage to find his email and contact him with your downloaded raw data, he may be able to determine your full MtDNA and it's subclades, as he guessed mine before my FTDNA results returned to me.
