I've wondered before whether genealogy programs allow for incest. Obviously it does happen, so you'd think a program would be incomplete without that option. On Ancestry when you look at someone in your tree it says how you are related. It should be possible to program it to allow for multiple relationships....

All of these relatives tested with another company and I don't think it has a chromosome browser. However, my dad and my maternal cousin are also on Gedmatch.

It seems very likely that you have the same father. If he is willing to take another test, I'd suggest Y-DNA with at least 37 markers.

I don't remember if I saw a full tree going back to the common ancestor, but the common ancestor is one of the first people in America with our surname....

I have a similar situation. We have a common ancestor and our surname is only one letter different, but we don't match at 25 or 37. I haven't tried asking them for their exact numbers to do a manual check. I wish it was already available.
