My Origins: 100% East Asian (Southeast Asian)
Ancient Origins: 5% Metal Age Invader, 95% Non-European
Any explanation on the difference?

Yes, that's more or less the number of generations we are looking at. We only knew of our paternal great-great grandfather who was said to be a grandson of a Spanish friar from one of the local women he sired. That Spanish ancestor could have been mixed blood with Native American and perhaps Africa...Last edited by Jesse1961; 20 December 2015, 09:03 PM.

Mine is...
Native American - 1.61%
Northeast Asian - 20.64%
North European - 1.82%
Southeast Asian - 68.36%
Oceanian - 6.46%
South African - 0.96%
Sub-Saharan African - 0.14%
However, in many admixture tests where there is more population...

Same HVR1 and HVR2 mutations
What does it mean if a person has the same HVR1 and HVR2 mutations with another person?

My result just came in yesterday. I am B4'5.
Any information about this mtDNA haplogroup B4'5?

Family Finder for my daughter
How do I order it online?
I will pay for her a-DNA test through my credit card.
I don't know which button to click on my page, if there is any.

After weighing all the options, I decided to have mtDNA Plus test today. Afterall, I am only (as of today) interested of my mother's deep maternal ancestry.

mtDNA test
I already had Y-DNA 37 and Family Finder tests few years ago.
Just today I ordered for mtDNA plus test.
Will I receive another kit for this mtDNA plus test?

W. (Mr.)
When you say accurate haplogroup assignment, you mean the specific one (sub-clade)?
If I am contented with the main haplogroup only, is mtDNA plus test sufficient enough?

My primary interest is to know my mother's haplogroup.
Is mtDNA plus test sufficient for my concern?
By the way, what's HVR1 and HVR2?

X-match with a-DNA match
At Gedmatch.com I have some x-matches whose autosomal DNA (a-DNA) also match with mine.
Does this mean that both segment matches (x chromosome and a-DNA) are of the same ancestry?

Non-East Asian a-DNA result at GEDMATACH
I am an 100% East Asian based on MyOrigins result. However, at Gedmatch the results of different admixture tests indicate I have 6-10% South Asian and small traces of European and Mediterranean genes (very consistent although mostly less than 1%).
Is there a way of confirming these results...
-
myOrigins result says I'm 100% East Asian, however, Gedmatch says otherwise as it shows others in small percentages.
How do the results of Neanderthal and Denisova relate to myOrigins and Gedmatch results?...

Felix,
Here's the result of my calculator tests:
Denisova - 5.64%
Neanderthal - 5.93%
What it's supposed to mean?
Jesse
