Hi mollyblum and josh w., nice to see you guys are still around!
Hey I know I have probably mentioned this before. The North Africa group does specifically mention the Sephardi.
North Africa
The North African cluster is rooted in the nations of Morocco,...

I agree with you 100%. My mom's kit never had Jewish assigned here or at 23andme. At DNA Land it is 9.some percent. The commercial companies do a much better job at finding Jewish in the ethnicity results. Some of you might remember that my mom was half Arbereshe.
I don't think they...

Hi qwert123,
Of course it would be great if you could test your paternal grandfather and father to see what their results would be.
Don't fret too much though. My brother and I are a complicated mix as well. Our maternal grandfather is 100% Southern Italian with Albanian roots....

Yes of course. This isn't my first time waiting on tests with them. I know they can be very slow, and that some will get results before others in the same batch. Some even get results before you will in later batches! I'm just wondering where this particular batch seems to be as no one on here has...

Batch 628
Hi guys. I didn't see a thread on this batch. I have a Y 12 marker in this one that is now at week 10. New delay dates put it at the 13-15 week mark. Which from what I have been reading the 13 week is the "new norm" for awaiting Y DNA results.
With that said, I'm just curious...

Can anyone who has an iPhone see their myOrigins? When I try to look the matches cover the result. It doesn't let me move it out of the way like on the computer.

Okay-YAY! I was just able to download my brother's raw data so hopefully the rest will be in soon! I have quite a few days off to go over his results.

Thanks. They must be doing things a little different? Historically the admixture results would show up first. My brother's kit does not have the download available yet. The expected date still has today's date on it. I just hope if they delay again I can find out if I need another sample. I would not...

So here is the message I see for my brother's kit today.
FamilyFinder 612 04/08/2015 - 04/22/2015 (the dates were changed now) We understand your frustration in not receiving your results as anticipated. We appreciate your patience as we work to provide you with reliable, accurate results. There...

Thanks! I'm glad others from this batch are reporting they are still waiting on their FF. This makes me think there is enough sample for the test. The waiting is always nerve racking though! I have an SNP in for this kit too, and I didn't expect a swift result for that anyway. But the FF ones do seem...Last edited by Táltos; 27 March 2015, 08:29 AM.

My mother's paternal line was from a small Arberesh village in southern Italy. Her myOrigins she is 23% Middle Eastern, all Asia Minor. My own score is 12% Middle Eastern (11% Asia Minor, 1% North African). Though my mother did not have a North African percentage it has left me wondering if that could...Last edited by Táltos; 27 March 2015, 08:20 AM.

That's great congrats on your results! Now I have to wonder if the kit I have in this batch has enough sample left for the Family Finder test. Just checked and still no myOrigins. Fingers are crossed that there is enough!...
