MTDNA matches disappeared
I have tested FMS and had 3 HVR2 matches and maybe a dozen HVR1 matches. With the website's new overhaul I have lost all of them, no matches at any level.
To be honest I don't really understand if my previous matches disappeared because they don't match the new criteria or there is a bug...

Thanks for your comments. I have contacted FTDNA and received an answer which totally contradicts to my understanding of FF matching. If I understand things well, going back a generation should double - or at least increase - the shared longest block and not halve it.

Match's parents don't match me
I have an FF match - 4th Cousin - Remote Cousin, total 33,20 longest 10,52 - who also tested his parents and I don't match any of them. He is a match to his parents as expected, so we can disregard a possible NPE or adoption etc.

I'd like to order a test for someone whose surname is a spelling variant of mine. If we are related our common ancestor must have lived 250-350 years ago.
I wonder if ordering the Genographic Project's 12 markers test would be enough to find out if we share the same paternal line or n...

FMS totally changed my matches
I have just received my FMS results and this completely changed my matches. Before I had 4 HVR 2 matches who completely disapperaed, I cannot find them even among my HVR1 matches, while I have 3 new HVR2 matches who complately replaced my previous HVR2 matches. Is this normal?

Only 6 matches
I have only 6 matches, all distant cousins. My ancestry is roughly 50% Hungarian, 25% German, 25% Slavic (Czech, Polish, Croatian).

Some Y results were posted in April, and I have just received the notification email today, nearly 2 months later.
