Great move by Ancestry and FTDNA need to join the party...I have heard on the grapevine that the MyOrigins 2.0 update will be happening sometime in 2017...will wait and see what happens there. I'm tempted to test with AncestryDNA to compare results....

What do you mean by "close match" exactly? What parameters are you using in your comparison i.e. minimum SNP count, Minimum segment cM size etc.
A lot of European people will have low resolution matches with these ancient remains and it could mean that these samples share common...
