Lattitude / Longitude / Ancestral map ??
How do we change that ? How do we change the lattitude and longitude on the ancestral map ? The map insists that my "paternal location" is a certain spot on a certain country with a certain lattitude and longitude . How did it arrive at that conclusion , who told this site to put a blue...

If I remember correctly, there is a FTDNA place in texas and also one in Arizona. I sent it to the wrong place.

I done the Y37 test and according to the "haplogroup origins" page on this website, I am I2b1 also. I know very very little about DNA or even ancestry. Our project coordinator says that I am descended from people from Pennsylvania who came from England. He says he's sure of this because...

Thanks for the information. So in other words, the 67 marker test is a whole lot better than the 37 test ? I have a family tree that my Dad put together but it was done back in the 1970's and I'm not sure at all how accurate any of it is. I firmly believe that he is my Dad but past that I'm not...

I have two exact matches at 37 markers and 8 matches on 36 of 37 markers and 5 matches on 35 of 37 markers, according to this website. You say your second cousin is a 37 marker match ? That means you have the same great grandparents right ? What is the average distance as far as matching goes...

Apparently many of the people have very very reliable family trees for the project coordinator to be able to make statements...

Would you believe it ? Or put any research into it ?
I have a question for some on here who know more about this than I do. Which is likely everyone on here. lol. My family tree is only accurate or based on good records for a few generations. There's not much of a valid paper trail once you go back farther than 3 or 4 generations. Theres a lot...

Matches Maps ???? Under YDNA tab ?
The only thing harder for me to understand than DNA, is this website. I went to the YDNA tab and scrolled down to Matches Maps. It shows a map of the earth and a Red marker and an Orange Marker on England. If I look at the markers it shows peoples names and email addresses. THe red marker says...

My Dad used census records and death certificates and marriage certificates and things like that. I don't know about Ancestry.com. I tried that and one of my supposed relatives had someone on their family tree that was born before her own mother was. I couldn't hardly believe ancestry.com didn't...
