Why doesn't my haplogroup match my cousin's?

Thanks for the reply. So basically, one of the tests is not really accurate? Since the Haplogroup is a defined classification of people, and the two haplogroups vary, I'm assuming that one of them is more correct of a match than the other?

My "predicted" haplogroup based on my 67-marker comprehensive genome test is R1b1a2. My paternal 1st cousin just had testing done at 23andme.com and was told he is R1b1b2. Shouldn't our haplogroups be the same? Is one of our testing results not accurate, or maybe I should have the deep clade...

Thanks for the SMGF tip, I'll do a search this weekend. Yes, I have one fleming with a genetic distance of 5 on 67 markers (I am user PMCHU). I realize this distance is probably around 400 years or so, but every other site I do a search on, including ftdna and ancestry, I usually have lots of flemings....

Sorry, I don't know how I missed this reply. I had the comprehensive genome test done on my father at FTDNA - 67 markers. I have uploaded the results to gedmatch.com and ysearch and ancestry. I haven't uploaded to SMGF because I was under the impression you had to purchase one of their kits to participate....

I have not been very lucky with FTDNA so far. I ordered the Full Comprehensive Genome test and found two 6th cousin matches with Family Finder. About 90% of the rest of my FF results don't upload a gedcom or don't respond to emails, so I can't really progress. I don't understand why people get tested...
