The Stephens/Stevens Y-DNA Project

This is a y-dna project. Women may participate by having a male Stephens/Stevens relative submit a dna sample for testing.

One thing we have certainly discovered through y-dna testing is that not everyone with this surname or a variant thereof is related within genealogical time!

Wow! The last post was in 2013. The main problem with the Stephens/Stevens Project is that the name is too common. Just look at the DNA Results page and see all the different haplotypes and haplogroups. Obviously, we're not all related except as humans in general.

Sometimes the Activity Feed at the Stephens/Stevens Project can get interesting. Lately has been one of those times. I really appreciate it when that happens, because I enjoy talking about Y-DNA and helping out where I can.
