  • Different Admixtures

OK, so I have my son's results from myOrigins and I can access the different Admixture results from Gedmatch. They are all cool, but what ones should be used for what circumstances? Which ones are most accurate? Should some be used and others avoided?

    For instance Gedmatch offers:
    MDLP Project
    Eurogenes
    Dudecad
    HarappaWorld
    Ethiohelix

And then each has their own sub-categories, for example Eurogenes is divided into:
    Eurogenes EUtestV2K15
    Eurogenes _ANE K7
    Eurogenes K9b
    Eurogenes K9
    Eurogenes K10
    Eurogenes K11
    Eurogenes K12
    Eurogenes K12b
    Eurogenes K13
    Eurogenes K36
    Eurogenes Hunter-Gatherers vs Farmer
    Eurogenes JTest
    Eurogenes EUtest

TOO MANY TEST OPTIONS! Anyhow, my son is the only one with FF results back, he is 99% European. By European, he is truly a European mutt: Mostly German, Austrian, French, Italian, English, Irish, Norwegian, Polish, and who knows what else. The other <1% is likely Native American, but small amounts for him. When I get MY test back, I am German, Italian, English, Irish, and also slightly Native American. My husband's side is the lesser know... with added Polish and perhaps other Eastern European origins. I assume EUROGENES is best for us, but again, too many options!

WOW, that is a lot of different things Loving that
I would just give them a try and see what happens.
Remember they all work with 25% 50% and so on so if the DNA is under the threshold it may not put it in the correct place but close. My mix is almost the same as yours but no NA and Sicily not Italy. Every tool shows something different. Have fun and would like to see how they look for you.
