To investigate European population history around the time of the agricultural transition, the authors sequenced complete genomes from a ~8,000 year old skeleton from the Loschbour rock shelter in Heffingen, Luxembourg.

He was not 100% western European. We need ancient dna from a Mesolithic Welsh or Irishman to determine the difference between the modern western European and ancient western European.

Yes, that is because farmers do not have such an edge in subarctic climate as they have in more Southern regions. My genome is naturally optimized for a cold climate.

Interesting. A very early western European R1b1 with no ANE. That supports the new study that concluded it was Yamnaya men in the Bronze Age who brought ANE (and modern R1b) into Europe.

I'm sure you see it differently!

The Yamnaya had a lot of WHG and that is western European autosomal dna. Are you suggesting that eastern Europeans brought WHG into western Europe,LOL.

That's certainly a possibility. What's makes you think that WHG originated in western Europe? Just because it's named "Western Hunter Gatherer." That's what's termed "nominalism."

Unless you deny that human beings have ever migrated, there's no reason to believe that WHG originated in western Europe, other than its name. That's a name that was given to it thousands of years after it originated. Do you think that you or anyone has absolute proof that it originated in the place after which it was named?

You laugh, but that's the problem with thinking from the standpoint of an agenda, as you do. Everything is self-evident and you can't consider the evidence critically, think outside the box.

Did EHG originate in western Europe? Did west Asian dna originate in the Russian Steppe?
