Hi everyone.
My autosomal results show that I have 3% Sephardic ancestry. I have a second cousin whose family tree results show 5% Sephardic ancestry.

Obviously if our Sephardic ancestors were the same it should be easy to trace back and find the Sephardic ancestry. But how can I know or find out whether my cousin's Sephardic dna came from the same source as myself? I can see which parts of which chromosomes we have in common but how do I know whether the Sephardic element is contained in these common elements?

I should add that I used jtest on my own and my cousin's DNA at gedmatch and got similar proportions of Ashkenazi DNA but no Sephardic results.
Thanks Peter
