    It's definitely above the 15cM threshold that people cite re possible IBC .

    If all of the kits you are triangulating match each other over most of this segment, yes, it is definitely significant. However, the more difficult problem is often to work out who the common ancestor was. Out of several hundred triangulation groups for the kits that I manage, I have been able to assign many as "paternal" or "maternal" in origin, but very few of those can be pinned on specific ancestors. In part, the difficulty is due to the fact that few of the matches have posted their pedigrees.
