confusing matches

My parents and I have tested with FTDNA, however, I have over 20 matches around 20-25cm that don't match either of my parents. Is this possible? (yes, the DNA proves they are my parents)

My second question is my mother has 5% Southern Europe, my father 16% Southern Europe why would I have 46%? Am I over thinking this?

I would take the MyOrigins guesses with a huge grain of salt.

Do you mean you have matches wherein those matches you have
1: a single segment that is in the range of 20-25cM? or
2: the sum total of all the many little segments add up to 20-25cM?
