My personal view is that adding the number of FF kits to the statistics they publish on the home page would encourage new customers. The crazy guesswork that goes on just creates doubt that they have a substantial db.

I have just over 500 FF matches. If the d/b is 85000 then one of every 170 people is my cousin (500/85000). Subject to the bias of the d/b of course! Just an observation ...

Gedmatch to Eclipse Family Finder Database

According to this ISOGG chart, it was estimated that the Family Finder database was about 85,000 in March, 2014.

Gedmatch is reported to have in excess of 80,000 kits in their database per Kitty Cooper. http://slides.com/kittycooper/gedmatch#/1

Would anyone at FTDNA like to confirm the number of Family Finder kits in the database?
