Thanksgiving week matches
My dad and I share a Norwegian-related match. My mother received a southern U.S. colonial match. All of our matches were dated November 25.
Edit: On November 20 my mother and I received a mutual New Englander descendant match. He and I share more DNA than he does with my mother, and he is actually my closest match other than my parents.Last edited by mixedkid; 26 November 2014, 01:28 AM.

Grumble, grumble. I have 5 new ones dated Nov 25th. Only one gives some information, and that connects to my Puckett (Ohio) line. At that point the Pucketts were still Quakers. But that line ultimately goes back to tidewater Virginia (and on back to Oxfordshire, England), where I doubt they were Quakers there. That Puckett line also connects to my Daniel Boone branch. Anyway, I can't make headway back along my direct maternal line. Promising names in common are all on different chromosomes.

I see 7 new ones; FF matches. I don't know any of them, and they are pretty much low level. But, the one who gives his tree and surnames includes the name Biles. That was the name I used to connect me with King John. Actually it was the wife (Keziah Hunt). But when I look at it closer, I see that his Biles family was from Pennsylvania (probably the prominent Quakers there around 1700). My Stephen Biles of New Jersey may not have been closely related, so I'm probably not related to King John's mistress after all. Anyway, I'm now apparently connected to those PA Quakers, however distantly.

southern colonials and a mystery match
Between my parents and myself, I am the winner this round with 5 matches, all dated December 1. Most if not all of my matches appear to be southern U.S. colonial descendants; I share two of these with my mother. My dad received one of his mystery matches with southern colonial roots. To this day I wonder who these mystery matches are -- but suspect they could have hidden Acadian/Cajun ancestry.
Several of my new matches appear to be related to one another.

the mystery continues
My father and I received a mutual "mystery match" (British/Irish backgrounds to these matches) and also one mutual French-Canadian match.
My mother and I received two mutual southern colonial matches.
All new matches are dated December 2.

A few more matches/Dec. 9
My dad and I received two new mutual matches: A Transylvania-related match who appears to have a common cousin connection with our Jewish matches + we received another French-Canadian-related match. My mom received a match with a common cousin connection with our Swedish matches.

Dated the 9th I have 2 new 5th cousins, both with trees and surnames. Hurrah!
Dad shares one of the matches and has another 5th cousin with a tree but no surnames ( a new cousin asked me yesterday, "Do I REALLLLLLLLY have to key all those names in?!?!?").
P Grandmother's only match is the 5th cousin I share with my dad.
M Grandmother has 2 new 5th cousins, one of which I inherited. Lots of French names in her list!
Son A has 1 3rd, 2 4th, and 3 5th cousins. 4 with trees/surnames. He got a 5th cousin from each g grandmother.
Son B has 2 5th cousins, both from his paternal side neither with trees/names.
