2 new matches for my dad. Both are 5th to distant, with one having surnames exclusively from TN (32.03 cm shared/8.35 longest block) and the other providing no information.
1 for me (the TN cousin I share with my dad and son at 34.08 shared/8.35 longest).
2 for my son (the TN match we all share and is listed as 5th to distant for all of us. 35.82 shared/8.35 longest), the other a 5th cousin paternal match with no info.
Another son's is batched and FF results are due in a month. I am curious to see if he will match PD and Lynn as his dad was partially Finn, Forrest Finn and Swede.
Regarding my above Finland match, it is on chromosome #22. It is not the first match with Finnish origins, but it is too laborious to scroll down 48 pages to look for the one or two others from earlier.

PD, my son's results won't be back for about a month. About scrolling back, I can't be bothered to mess about with that, either. It seems like a large proportion of my matches are also at Gedmatch and I find it a lot easier to glance down the email column to try to get an idea of where they may originate. Not foolproof, but a lot simpler.
My dad got no matches and my son got one, 5th to distant with Scottish surnames/locations.
I had a nice surprise of a 2-4th cousin with whom I share a total of 63 cm and a longest block of 29cm. I recognized the family name of my 4th great grandfather from Trassem/Trier-Saarburg. I also recognized the surname/locations of the man their daughter married which carried down through the tree close enough to my match to make it a snap to figure out.
I have already added the match to Gedmatch and although no one else matches us on this segment, at least it is identified. The match is in fact my 3rd cousin twice removed
No new matches today. And I was really hoping today would be the day for my uncle's results. Today was the end of the 2nd week after the 1 to 2 weeks message. Thursday and Friday are usually my "match days" and nothing.
My dad (86) received no new matches; my mother (87) received 3 new Swedish matches and one southern U.S. colonial. I share one Swede and the colonial with my mother.
Son B's results came in: 533 matches, only 90 of which are from me.
Son A got 5 new matches (the only one with a tree was his brother).
I got 3 new matches, 1 of which was my son. The other 2 were 5th to distant. I really can't complain after I got such a good match last week plus my son's FF results came in early
My dad got 3, 1 of which was my son. The other 2 are 5th to remote.
As a side note, I usually ignore the 4-5th to distant as being too distant to figure out and quite possibly IBS. However, after Son B's results came in, I found I was able to easily identify 6 of his 5th cousins almost immediately as they have unusual surnames in common and all had excellent paper trails. If they can ever get the family trees fixed I might go back and look at my own distant cousins a little more closely.
I now have a total of 488, with 4 new ones dated Oct 3rd. But I'm wondering if one or more wasn't deleted as well. One new match is fairly strong (34.14/20.66). It is from Taos, New Mex. And it looks Hispanic/N.A., at least in part. But no information is given with this match.
