My wife's kit is getting Houston too. Mine cleared up but my batch 562 for Y DNA just added several weeks 86-93 and 103-111 kit.

A few new matches
This time around, my mother and I only share one match: a southern U.S. colonial descendant. My father received German matches, which are quite rare for us (these two matches are a mother and daughter). Two expected Swedish matches were added for my mother as well as one New England colonial descendant match.
A distant cousin of my mother helped to verify this past week a Scottish line I had been working on for several months. By coincidence, two of the family names in that paper trail branch appeared on the ancestral names list of one of my mom's new matches.Last edited by mixedkid; 24 May 2014, 09:38 PM.

On May 22 my dad and one of my double cousins got zero new matches. My other double cousin got one.
Mom got 6 and I got 4. Two I shared with Mom. One that she didn't match me on shared a segment 11.98 cM with me and when I checked the matches I had in common with this person, they were all matches that Mom and I share.
I contacted all of the new matches. One was really angry because FTDNA had given me access to his email address!

Of my 5 family members, only one got one new match and she's a 5th to remote cousin with no tree or surnames.
I checked a member of my tiny project and he had a new match with a tree I wanted to see. All I got was the "Houston we have a problem" page. Why can't they get that fixed after all these weeks!

New England and Southern Colonials
My mother and I share one new southern U.S. colonial descendant match. My mother also added 2 other southern descendants and one New England descendant. No new matches for my father.
Small verifications of our family's ancestral background but welcomed information nonetheless.

Fewer new matches, but ...
I only had one new match but he was also a match to my dad -- and that match, an Acadian descendant, was also a match to another new Acadian match of my father. My mother received a Swedish match and a southern U.S. colonial.
As far as sampling goes, sometimes I seem to see clusters of matches faster with fewer matches coming in at any one time. It's as if I have time to process the information the match brings to the table.

I got 3 new matches today and 1 new match last Friday. The 3 matches I got today are also X matches (2 M 1 F). 2 of the matches from today have (inaccessible) trees. 3 of the 4 have surnames listed and the 4th is related to one of the 3. The two that are related to each other are both Scandinavian.
