Now at 400 matches, with 4 new ones. One of them has an Italian connection, now that I discovered that my mother had an apparent ethnic Italian for a dad. (I'm just a byproduct of what went on back then).

Sharing today with my parents
I received 4 new matches, all of whom I share with my father or my mother. I share a Norwegian, French-Canadian and a Polish descendant match with my dad and a southern U.S. colonial match with my mom. My mother received two extra matches, both Finnish people.
A nice mix of new DNA cousins. Something new to mull over after the excitement of the last few days with myOrigins.

I think something odd happened this week, insofar as new matches are concerned. I persuaded two of my distant relatives to transfer from AncestryDNA. Each has a different story:
One of them shows that her FF results are here. When you look, they are & she matches me, my father & several other relatives that I've had tested. When I look at my matches, she doesn't appear. Matter of fact, my last match was dated May 7, 2014.
The other was given her FF results on Wednesday. I found myself & several other relatives of mine on her list. When I logged in later that evening, her page has gone back to saying that she is waiting for results.
This is rather bizarre. Does anyone know if Family Finder encountered some database issues?

We received no new matches on FTDNA this week. However, I just checked our 23 and Me accounts and have found quite a few new DNA cousins. That surprised me as I have not seen many new matches there for a long time -- and a surprising number of them included names and other information.

No family finder matches this last week here, either, for any of my kits, BUT my mother's kit got a zero step fms match, and the paper trail matches! As long as we find no surprises in the paper records from that era, the match got one further generation back on the matriarch's momma's line, and several generations further back on the matriarch's father's line. If this person will just test family finder we might find the matriach's momma's family. :-)
