This time, only my father and I share a match: A lady with Acadian ancestry. (I am now finding that a small group of my dad's French-related matches definitely can be grouped under "Acadian" and not necessarily under "French-Canadian.")
My mother received 9 matches, my dad 3 and I received 4.
Dad - 0
Mom - 4
Myself - 3 (all same as Mom's)
cousin A - 3 (2 same as Mom's)
cousin B - 4 (1 same as Mom's)
Total of new ones - 8
Even though they did away with the Batch Forum, I can tell the difference between a batch from the lab and transfers from other companies by the amount of new matches I get at a time.
A few more matches came in tonight: Two for me and one each for my parents. I share a Swedish match with my mom and a Polish-German one with my dad. My mother's grandmother immigrated from Sweden. My father's grandfather, by tradition, was of German origin, although the family's surname sounded Polish to me.
It looked like I had a couple more, when I checked the Chromosome browser. But I don't see any new ones in the matches. Maybe I remembered the count wrong. Anyway, I now have 346 matches.
On my Ancestry tree (not DNA), I tentatively traced a Medieval line back to France. But it is outside of Normandy/Brittany. It would've been in Blois (now Eure-et-Loire). William-the-Conqueror must have recruited from a wider area than just Normandy/Brittany. Of course I could have made a wrong assumption about the lineage origin.
My mom and I received one more mutual Swedish match. I've never had matches spread out over so many days before.
Hi,
That is part of the new analysis process. It is actually possible to get new matches 5 to 7 days a week depending on whether someone QAs the process for release on the weekend.

Hey mixedkid...I'm an Acadian. Maybe we're distant cousins.
