Thank you for the heads-up, Oshri. I have 1 new one. Went from 83 to 84 now. Since the lowering of the price, my matches seem to come more frequently. I imagine as word gets out, this will continue...

Ha! I just downloaded all my kits' matches into my analysis program this week. Oh well... more is better.

I have one new (low-level) FF match (chromosome #5). But that's great for me. I'm a rare bird; an Ivory-billed Woodpecker compared to the rest of you sparrows (ha ha).

2 new matches for me today. Went from 84 to 86 total. The last month or so has been wonderful. I think the new FF price is starting to pay off.

My total FF matches now stand at 322; up 6. But as usual, I don't recognize anybody. One looks mostly Canadian. And another doctor is added to the list. I have to use my other slower laptop to look at them, so I can't just toggle over there from here.

I'm lazy. I don't like to do long explanations; just quick summaries. To answer your question (I forgot Canadians are also on this forum), that particular match gave his tree. So I scanned his tree, and saw that much of it was Canadian. Otherwise I also recall some New England persons there. I like having Canadian connections. But I don't know exactly how to connect to them. My U5b2b2 has an early New England line that went up there from Massachusetts. But a common ancestor to that line may be back in England.

I think FTDNA said something recently (at their Annual Conference?) about speeding up this process.

No new matches for any of the 4 kits I manage, and adding up all the new matches we got the last 3 times before this that new matches were announced on this thread the total is 5 for all kits combined and they were all 5th to remote. We may be getting them more often, but 1 or 2 at a time and all very remote, is no improvement!

23andme does a few every few days. I suspect that this is the new paradigm at Family Tree DNA. Thumbs up.

I also think that FF is totally on Build37 now with the algorithms straightened out, which means that these matches & the centimorgan counts will (hopefully) be better than they were before.
