My wife got her FF results last night. My son got his last week. Last night I also got 7 new matches, one of my sisters got 8 new matches and the other sister got 10 new matches.

In this case her last name is all in caps, while in the first one, only the initial letter was capital. In any case, I'll write to ask her what it is about.

My FF match list has increased 16% since Jan 17th

I've had 25 new matches in the last month - so the number of matches has increased from 155 to 180 in that time.

I'm liking this. I gather they still have a lot more kits from the holiday sale to load and THEN the 23andMe transfers. Bring it on!

Interesting. Sounds like she got something she wasn't expecting. Being what is known as a Late Discovery Adoptee, I'm familiar with the feeling.

I didn't count my matches when I first got my FF results, but I know I had 20 full pages of them and a few on page 21. Today I noticed that page 21 is now full and I have two on page 22. That makes 212 FF matches.

That seems like a lot. Is it? I realize "a lot" is relative, and that is what I mean, that is, compared with the average.

Stevo - It sounds like a lot to me, but perhaps it is closer to average. I now have a grand total of 23 FF matches. (So I have 2 full pages -- in contast to your 21 full pages.) My list is small, but it contains some "2nd-4th cousins," which is great.

6 pages for me and 7 for my older relative.

We diont have any North American ancestry, so the match connection should be from the UK and Europe prior to immigration from those places.

Those with long roots in the US appear to have many more matches.

Thanks. Some branches of my family have been in North America since the 17th century, so I guess that accounts for most of the matches.
