Just got 5 new matches. one 4th cousin, four - 5th or distant - June 20

I'm a bit confused. When I go to the Family Finder - Matches page it says "This test is currently on order and matching will be possible when results come back." However, when I go to the Advanced Matches page and click on Family Finder and Run report I see 134 matches. Same when I go to the Chromosome Browser page, there are 134 matches there too. I wonder why they aren't showing up on the Family Finder - Matches page.

Hmmm.....myself and my father each got 3 new matches, only 1 of which is the same, but my mother, her father, and my dad's mother all received 0.

Odd that two of my newest 'matches' don't match either of my parents.

That can sometimes be the sign of a false positive. I describe how that can happen in my lastest 'Satiable Curiosity column in JoGG:

I only received one new match, a 5th remote with no surname list or Gedcom. Hopefully more are coming....!

My mom's kit got 2 new matches. I got the same 2 plus 1 extremely distant match. My cousin got 0.

Still not much for 4 weeks without any new ones. I wonder if the coupon sale was a response to a low sales following DNA Day. And I wonder if Ancestry's new test is drawing potential customers away. I hate to see that. I can just imagine lots of people whose DNA matches determining their common ancestor using erroneous trees that both they and their matching cousin have copied from the same source and coming up with the wrong common ancestors!!!

My son got 2, I got 4 different ones, & my nephew got 2 (one of which was the same as 1 of mine). All are remote. One of my nephews is so remote it didn't even say 5th to remote, it just was shown as - .

My Dad had 2 one 5th to distant one predicted 4th cousin, who is a professional genealogist, hoping she has extensive paper trails for most of her lines, fingers crossed.

If you checked your account two days ago, check again. I had matches on 20th June and just two days later on 22nd June more matches have started coming in again.

Interestingly I got 27 on 6/20 but only 1 on 6/22. Over 1250 in total now.

I did get a new supposed second cousin on 6/20. The actual relationship is actually 6th cousin twice removed although there could be a somewhat closer connection.
