New Matches Coming In

1 newbie for my uncle's kit. None for mine. The match to my uncle's kit matches another distant relative via in common with and chromosome browser functions for > 5 cM on one chromsome.

June 7. I got 2 remote, my son got one of mine, my nephew got that same one and the other one of mine plus he got 2 others, all remote.

This is one of my favorite threads. Even though none of my 3 kits accumulated any new cousins this week, you posters still keep me informed about what other people are getting as well as dates when matches are posted.

Another good week. New matches do seem to be coming in much faster than they were last year. It's great to see the FF database growing at such a pace.

Best were two predicted full 4th's.

I ordered an FF for my mother in law this week with the coupons. Deciding if I can afford more at this time.

One this week for me, zero for my Mom.

My match is 34 cM total with the longest block being 17 cM. Based on the surname and the fact it has to be on my fathers side I think the match is to one of my 7th great grand fathers who was born in Virginia around 1718.

Do matches usually come in once a week and is it usually on the same day each week? I uploaded my raw data from 23andMe 13 days ago and I still haven't gotten any results yet. I hope there isn't a problem. My 23andMe results came in 11 days after they received my sample at the lab and they had to analyze my sample first. I sure hope my results will be here soon.

They are very unpredictable lately as to when matches come in. It may average once a week, but it can go two weeks, or three or four days. You might find new matches late on a Sunday night.

It's a mystery.

After 18 days my population finder results are finely in. Hopefully, that means my matches will be coming soon as well!

I just wish that more of my current matches would give their various connected surnames, especially the ones from my maternal line geographical area.

It's still the case that none of the 3 kits I manage has received a new match since May 23! That seems unusual. Is anyone getting any new matches?

I mailed my father's kit yesterday. Both of his parents were Italian immigrants so I don't think he'll have many matches.
