Illumina Chip Population Finder Results

I'm Native American by phenotype (physical race), but I do have plenty of Euro genes and suspect some SSA - very common for being from DelMarVa.

Could it be that our results comparing each and every population haven't been run yet? I'm presuming these are preliminary results and "my results my vary" until results populate and update for everyone in the database...?

While I'm not saying this is entirely wrong, it's not entirely right, either:

Europe (Western European) - Orcadian 91.36%
Middle East - Adygei, Iranian, Jewish 8.64%


I wonder since many of us have "only" new Western Euro and ME results, that it's because those are the only populations that have rolled in so far....

To your question: All the populations have been ran and calculated and none are pending.

Being that you have AI and from the US, They dont have AI in their populations. They only have Central and South American Indian and your DNA may not match the Indian populations they do have.

A lot of people got a High Orcadin % and this test needs fine tuning. They also need to add populations. This test is not including may populations

I got:

most of my confirmed family tree is UK, colonial northeast US or virginia, but I have a lot of gaps. I'm really intrigued about the ME percentage and wonder if it's accurate. if it is I hope I can trace it back someday.

I wouldn't think that yDNA or mtDNA inconsistent with a significant portion of population finder results should be an immediate red flag that something is wrong. after all, yDNA and mtDNA come down through only the direct lines, whereas FF looks at dna contributed from a lot of grandparents. my maternal ancestress gave me Wc1, my paternal line is unknown because no male in my family will test for me even though I bought the kit, but even if it turns out to be western european as well, its still only a drop in the bucket as far as my origins go. the rest of my western european dna came from a lot of other people.

I realized I incorrectly posted my son's PF results earlier on a posting, but he's NA by phenotype too, so his results aren't entirely correct, either.

Of note, we are reading as 2 separate types of ME/Jewish - my results:

Europe (Western European) - Orcadian 88.80% , Middle East Palestinian, Druze, Jewish 11.20%

It looks like they are, yes. I have not asked FTDNA but it sure looks like that.
