  • DNA Hlogroups from Family Finder matches

    Hi,
just to inform you I'm managing this collaborative genetic genealogy project:
    bit.ly/2yKHIdI
The basic idea behind this project is to share ONLY the YDNA haplogroups of your Family Finder matches.
No matters if you are male or female. Just YDNA haplogroups of the matches are involved.
If you are interested in participating, here are the instructions:
    bit.ly/2RNk5tD
In the first column of the spreadsheet anyone can then search for any YDNA haplogroup and find in the first rows the owner of that match.
That could be useful for people searching for information about specific YDNA subclades.
    Regards,
    Adriano

    Hi,
in the meantime I added a couple of new results in the project "YDNA of Your Matches":
    https://asquecco.000webhostapp.com/
Only the Paternal Haplogroup information is collected in this project.
    Regards,
    Adriano

What would be the purpose of doing that? Your autosomal DNA matches come from all branches of your tree.

Are you saying you are a project manager with FTDNA? If not, under whose authority are you "gathering" up dna? Just curious.

I'm curious as to what the point of such a group would be. Currently, I can do an Advanced Match search on all my FF matches and see their Y-DNA and mtDNA results if they have done them whether or not they match my results on those two tests.
