Okay, bear with me.
My grandfather's first double cousin matches me on FTDNA. So we would be first double cousins, twice removed, is that right? In other words, grandfather and first double cousin share both sets of grandparents.
Anyway, our cM overlap is 342.20. The longest cM block is 37.80.
Does this seem low or high given what you know about our family link? I can't tell exactly where we fall on the autosomal distance estimates because of the "double" aspect.
I also match a first cousin, twice removed (also my grandfather's first cousin, but not a double cousin) who matches my cM at 128.16, the longest cM block being 48.24.
